Ok, I don't know if this is a no no or what, I've only posted one blog in my life and that was our required introduction. I don't even do facebook, which my daughter, age 17, is saying when she comes to visit me next time, she is just going to create a facebook for me because I need one.
So I want to talk about religion. Most people have some sort of belief system. I'm not here to argue anything. I'm here to say, why do we in society have a belief system set up that we say is ours, however, to look at us we behave much differently? Now I'm talking about myself right now, not pointing fingers. Just throwing this out there. Those of you who are of the Christian faith, do you always portray that? I don't. Let me say once again, I'm not pointing fingers. I think about this a lot. I say I'm a Christian, and I probably look like I'm not to other people. Its really been getting to me. If I'm at church, I know all the right answers to say in Sunday School, and all the right places to look things up in the Bible, but hey, I'm not doing that when I'm going out to the karaoke bar and slamming some beers back when our 6 kids aren't with us. (I like to say that , but we never really have all 6 together except some Holidays) I need to look inward. Do you need to look inward? No matter what your beliefs are, do you really reflect those beliefs? Just a thought to ponder. We watched a video in church a couple a weeks ago, from a Promise Keepers meeting in 07. He was pointing out how God knows those who are sold out for Him, and he knows those who are totally against Him, and he spits out of His mouth those that are "walking the fence". Ouch..... That's me. Just to think about.
